Define your own experience

We live in a technological age, where people are continuously challenged to work harder, faster and better. The pressure to succeed, survive and be permanently accessible have robbed us of the ability to truly appreciate life and one another.

We believe in the importance of family as the most fundamental unit in any society, and recognize the responsibility we hold in bringing people together in a meaningful and enjoyable way. Over our years of welcoming and hosting guests and families from around the world, we’ve learned something really important. All that people need is the space to connect, facilitated in a beautiful natural environment where both sublime comfort and convenience are provided. The rest takes care of itself…

The evolution of the MORE Villa Experience is our commitment to creating enriching life experiences which connect friends and families. From Lion Sands, to Madikwe, to Cape Town – the MORE Villa Circuit comprises some of South Africa’s most spectacular spaces. The combination of the three is simply spectacular and quite unique.

The Fish Eagle Villa at Ivory Lodge

”To wake up to the lions roar, and elephants right off of our veranda was amazing, but to be given the gift to share such extraordinary moments with our children was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience!”

The opportunity to experience nature and encounter Africa in her purest form from a private safari family retreat is not the stuff of far-off dreams. We’ve designed a very special place on the banks of the Sabie River for our guests to do just that!

An exclusive Villa with personal chef, private game viewer and dedicated Field Guide set the tone for the ultimate tailor-made African Safari Family Adventure.

The Fish Eagle Villa is able to accommodate up to 6 people sharing (including 4 adults and 2 young children sleeping on single beds in their parents’ room); each of the two Suites having an en-suite open plan bathroom, as well as outdoor shower area. It can be booked in conjunction with an adjacent Ivory Lodge Villa, with up to 8 guests comfortable enjoying the Fish Eagle Villa’s ample facilities.
An expansive deck and covered patio walk onto a 10 metre long lap pool, while
a private fire deck and star jetty overlook the Sabie River for quiet enjoyment of the natural environment (and vivid Milky Way above). Guests also have access to a private wellness area (with double treatment room) and exercise facility

The Hi’Nkweni Villa at Tinga Lodge

We wanted to create something extraordinary for families and friends in our Colonial Homestead at Tinga. Something stylish yet homely; spacious yet warm; private yet convenient; exclusive yet personal. At long last, she is complete, and we could not be happier with the result.

Tinga’s Hi’Nwkeni Villa (pronounced Hing Kweni, which means ‘together’ in the local Shangaan dialect) is a private Villa with two bathrooms en-suite for 6 people sharing (4 adults and 2 children). This is a place for living, with a spacious lounge and dining area, leading onto an outdoor shaded deck with private pool in a lush indigenous garden.

Madikwe Safari Lodge, Dithaba Lodge

The Madikwe Game Reserve is just three hours’ drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, and is located along the Botswana border (90 km north of Zeerust). At 75,000 hectares, this reserve is one of the largest in South Africa. This, coupled with it being in a non-malaria area, has made it a very popular destination for families.

Dithaba (meaning ‘mountain’ in the local dialect) Lodge has a spectacular view over the open plains. With only 4 Suites (each with private plunge pool), this Lodge is well suited to a group of friends or family members making it their own while on safari.

Madikwe is perfectly suited for travellers with younger children. Whether time is spent at The Eco House (a fascinating interactive and educational centre with live and preserved specimens from the reserve, and a range of fun-tastic arts and crafts), or enjoying one of the many activities available on the carefully designed Kids’ Activity Menu, adults will find it difficult to entice them ‘home’…

More Quarters Hotel, Redcliffe House

Set just off the buzzing Kloof Street in a scenic suburb of Cape Town, at More Quarters’ Redcliffe House you can live like a local and still be treated as our guest. This has been a home away from home for us, and we invite you to experience it as your own.

Although contemporary in style, Redcliffe House – with its high pressed ceilings, hard wood floors and grand entrance – has an old-world Victorian charm. With four en-suite bedrooms, a lounge (with wood-burning fireplace), private balcony looking onto Table Mountain, and small pool area, every creature comfort is met. A dining room with 10-seater table and open-plan kitchen make for meal times that are sociable affairs.

Be warned though! You may never want to leave.

There is nothing that satisfies or gratifies us more than helping our guests to open their eyes and hearts, and to reconnect with how wonderful life is. And in so doing, to fall more deeply in love with themselves and their most treasured.

We hope to have the pleasure of your company soon!
