MORE Destinations

There are a few Southern African locations that have captured our hearts – from the savannah’s game-filled plains to the spectacular beauty of Victoria Falls. Let us share with you the region’s many attractions and show the best this side of the continent has to offer. Our destinations include:

Lion Sands Game Reserve, South Africa

Lion Sands is the only private game reserve rooted in both the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park, with the mighty Sabie River forming a natural boundary between the concessions.

Animals roam freely between the Lion Sands lodges, making for a uniquely African safari experience – especially if paired with a drink of your choice, while watching the sun sink below the horizon.

You will have exceptional game-viewing opportunities with natural animal populations that include the Big Five. The reserve is also renowned for the quality of its leopard viewing – the most elusive of predators.

Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa

Madikwe Game Reserve, bordering Botswana, is one of South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuaries and is malaria-free.

Its wooded hills give way to bushveld and Kalahari plains, where you will see an astonishing array of animals – including the Big Five and a flourishing population of the endangered African wild dog. Above, its skies are graced with over 350 resident bird species.

This is wild Africa and then some! Madikwe’s three luxury lodges – Lelapa, Kopano and Dithaba – for both couples and families, are ideally located for you to appreciate the vastness and diversity of the scenery and wildlife.

Marataba South Africa

Marataba South Africa is a private concession forming part of the Marakele National Park which, as its Tswana name suggests, is a ‘place of sanctuary’. Its dramatic Waterberg, vast plains, rich animal diversity, and winding rivers render us breathless.

This is a place where busy people come to reconnect with themselves through nature. Marataba’s Mountain Lodge and Safari Lodge are the only two properties in the whole park and provide exclusive and highly-personalised safaris.

Guests explore on game drives, bush walks, and Marataba Trails, before lazily drifting towards the sunset on a Miss Mara Water Safari.

Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town – the ‘Mother City’ – is in the top five of Africa’s most popular destinations and, with Table Mountain National Park at her heart, is hailed as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Here, cultures, cuisines, art and design mingle and meet with wondrous natural landscapes and pristine beaches. Amongst it all, Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel and More Quarters Hotel feel like homes from home, welcoming you to experience Capetonian life.

There is something for everyone, making it easy to understand why millions of visitors descend every year – and why many never choose to leave!

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

There is something quintessentially African about a Victoria Falls holiday. This iconic destination, with its wondrous falls, is an adventure- and nature-lover’s paradise.

It offers a smorgasbord of adrenaline-igniting activities, close-up wildlife encounters, and humbling cultural interactions – a definitive must for those who seek out the ‘soul’ of a destination.

Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel and Ursula’s Homestead hold prime location just 15 minutes from town, but surrounded by natural reserve, making them ideal bases from which to explore, as well as quiet retreats in a much-loved destination.
